Attacking The Integrity Of The Bible: A Christmas Present From Newsweek

This last week, on Christmas Eve (2014), Newsweek's Kurt Eichenwald decided to publish an article entitled "The Bible: So Misunderstood It's a Sin" in which a very misguided and frontal attack was made on not only the reliability of the Bible as a historical document, but on Christians as a whole.

It is not unusual for this sort of attack to happen on the eve of Christian celebrations and holidays. In fact, as far as Newsweek and the Huffington Post are concerned this is common practice. December, March and April issues of such postings, casting doubt on the resurrection during Easter and the birth of Christ during the Christmas season, are common.

However, the article by Eichenwald encompasses so much egregious, fanciful, deceptive, and to be honest, false, information that it goes far beyond the basic polemics posted by the mainstream media. Of course, this is far …
